OTbase Discovery is the discovery piece of OTbase, and you can check it out for free.
There are three distinct forms of OTbase Discovery, each tailored to address unique use cases. Note that there are also Discovery versions for Linux, Docker, and Podman available; however these are not for free download.
When you take OTbase Discovery through it’s paces, don’t forget that this is not the full OTbase solution. In production you will only launch the Discovery UI for configuration and testing. The real work is accomplished in OTbase Inventory, the central database. Normal users never use OTbase Discovery.
OTbase Network Discovery is the discovery workhorse of OTbase. Think of it as Rockwell’s rswho on steroids. It runs as a Windows service on any of your existing Windows PCs and will discover your OT and IT devices on the network within minutes.
Hardware make & model. Serial numbers. Installed firmware versions. Ethernet/IP, SERCOS, ControlNet, Profinet, Profibus, EtherCAT devices. BACnet. And more!
OTbase Mobile Discovery is the zero-install solution for situations where you can’t install discovery software on a target machine. It’s simply executed from a USB stick.
Just like the Discovery Agent it exposes all the system configuration details you need, albeit without the data flow (since Mobile Discovery collects just a snapshot).
OTbase Mobile Discovery for Windows is free software. Discovery results can be exported to OTbase Enterprise, OTbase Cloud, and OTbase Snapshot for further processing.
The OTbase Discovery Agent for Windows does deep discovery for Windows computers: Installed operating system, application software along with last time of execution, patches, data flow, shared folders, anti-virus, network connectivity — you name it! All asset details are visualized right away in an intuitive user interface that can be called locally or remotely.
The OTbase Discovery Agent for Windows is free software. Discovery results can be exported to OTbase Enterprise, OTbase Cloud, and OTbase Snapshot for further processing.
